Louisville native Jennifer Lawrence won a Golden Globe Award on Sunday night for her role in the film Silver Linings Playbook.Lawrence, 22, won in the best actress in a comedy or musical category, beating out Emily Blunt (Salmon Fishing in the Yemen), Judi Dench (The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel), Maggie Smith (Quartet as Jean Horton) and Meryl Streep (Hope Springs).Lawrence was previously nominated for a Golden Globe in 2011— that time in the best actress in a drama category — for her role in the indie drama Winter's Bone, but lost to Black Swan star Natalie Portman. She also was nominated for an Academy Award that year, but again lost to Portman.It's been a big January for Lawrence. On Thursday, Lawrence was again nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress for the Silver Linings Playbook role. The film was also nominated for best picture.She's on the cover of the current issue of Vanity Fair and Entertainment Weekly.Lawrence is also to star in the second Hunger Games film, Catching Fire, slated for release in November.
