The 13th Lebowski Fest in Louisville gets going this evening at Executive Strike & Spare on Phillips Lane.As usual, the two days of festivities include games themed around the 1998 cult classic film "The Big Lebowski," a movie party (tonight) and bands (Saturday afternoon). The festival culminates in Saturday night's bowling party at Strike & Spare.Lebowski Fest was started in 2002 in Louisville by fans of the film. The Lebowski Fest team stages versions of the festival in other cities, but the Louisville event is always a huge deal. Last year, I went to the bowling party and filed this for Here & Now.Listen below:Here's a schedule of events for the festival:FridayJuly 11th – Noon – Lebowski Live Lunch Radio Hour – Live in studio performance by Bobby Bare Jrs’ Young Criminals’ Starvation League broadcast on WFPK.org (We ain’t one-at-a-timing here) – Limited Seating – All Ages @ WFPK Studios 619 S. 4th St. – FreeJuly 11th – 8pm – Movie Party – Music by Those Darlins and The Features + Screening of The Big Lebowski with Liam! – All Ages – Doors 8pm.
