Before LPM, he was a data reporter at THE CITY in New York — where he wrote stories about police, sanitation and Covid-19, among others. Bhat covered Wall Street and anything related to stock markets for four years at Reuters News and has written about Indian economy for a Mumbai-based news outlet. He has a master's degree in data journalism from Columbia Journalism School, a bachelor's in chemical engineering and a post-graduate diploma in print journalism.
