Horse racing's federally created oversight panel found no single cause of death among 12 horses at Churchill Downs this spring, but recommends further action and analysis to mitigate risk at the home of the Kentucky Derby, according to a report released Tuesday.

Denny Crum, who won two NCAA men’s basketball championships and built Louisville into one of the 1980s’ dominant programs during a Hall of Fame coaching career, died Tuesday. He was 86.

Louisville is finalizing a deal to hire Purdue’s Jeff Brohm as its next football coach, a person with knowledge of the situation told The Associated Press.

The University of Cincinnati tweeted Monday morning that it has hired Louisville’s Scott Satterfield to be its next football coach.
