The Community Foundation of Louisville has earned its way onto three top 100 lists. They’re included in a report that ranks community foundations across America.The organization helps match donors and recipients of philanthropic funds. There are about 650 community foundations across the country.Local group President Susan Barry says the foundation handled $32 million in grants last year. “We’re really working on getting resources into the community, so a robust distribution rate is a good indicator for us. We try to balance community action with endowment building.” The group ranked 15th in most activity volume, it’s also 41st on the list of most active grant makers, and ranks 75th in most gifts per capita.(This story was produced by WFPL's Andy Freudenberg)
