Louisville Eccentric Observer editor Stephen George will step down as the paper's editor next year to take a job in Nashville.George has been at LEO since 2005 and he's edited the paper since it was purchased by SouthComm in May 2008. He’s moving on to edit the SouthComm-owned Nashville City Paper. The publication is a weekly newspaper with a focus on hard news. George says he welcomes the change."At the core of what we have always done at LEO, at least in terms of the news department, is strong reporting and a good narrative voice in the writing, and I expect that to stay the same for me there," he says.George will be replaced on January 1st by news editor Sarah Kelley."She is the first female editor of LEO Weekly in the paper's 20-year history, which is a bright spot for us," says George. "She's been an outstanding addition since she came on in May of 2008."LEO contributor Jonathan Meador will join the paper's staff next year.
