A Jefferson circuit judge has denied a request from some residents of Old Louisville for an injunction to re-open the Engine Seven Firehouse on Sixth Street.Mayor Jerry Abramson ordered that the facility be closed this month to save money and help reduce the government's budget deficit.Nearby residents complained that shutting down the firehouse would compromise their safety, but Metro Government officials countered that several nearby stations would provide adequate protection.
