Meet Piper! A gorgeous, Golden Retriever mix with warm, brown eyes and a gentle soul. Three-year-old Piper came to the Kentucky Humane Society in June with her seven, four-week-old pups. Soon after arrival, Piper’s pups were weaned and went into foster care, while Piper began her search for her forever home. Sweet Piper is a favorite with almost everyone in the shelter. She greets staff, volunteers and campers with a tender hug each morning, putting her paws gently on their waist and laying her head down on their stomach. Piper is a total lover and doesn’t have much interest in toys and play, she just wants to be with her people. She loves taking long walks where she can explore the world from the safety of your side. Piper appears house trained and doesn’t seem to mind other dogs either! If you’re looking for a companion who will always wait up for you, come meet Piper! Piper is spayed, micro-chipped and up-to-date on her vaccinations. Visit her at the Kentucky Humane Society's Main Campus, 241 Steedly Drive in Louisville.
