Our star for The Paws Report today at 3:30pm is Dakota, a gorgeous, goofy five-year-old, 35-pound Shepherd mix. He is a loving dog who has become a favorite of our volunteers because of his playful and affectionate nature. Dakota was surrendered to the Kentucky Humane Society in June by his owners because they lost their home. Dakota was then adopted and returned to us in late July, because the adopter didn’t have adequate housing for a dog with so much energy. Since then, he’s been looking for the perfect home. Dakota would do best with an active owner or with older children whom he can play with and a yard he can run around in. He has never lived with other dogs, so you should bring your canine friends in to meet him before making a decision. Dakota appears to be potty trained and he loves going for walks. Dakota has been neutered, micro-chipped, and he’s up-to-date on his vaccinations. Stop by to meet Dakota at the Kentucky Humane Society’s Main Campus, 241 Steedly Drive, and he’ll be sure to steal your heart. View all adoptable pets at www.kyhumane.org or call 366-3355.
