Louisville's own Jim James has a new record - inspired at least in part by Lynd Ward's 1929 wordless woodcut novel God's Man - called Regions of Light and Sound of God. It's a bit of a departure from his primary work in My Morning Jacket, but still distinctly from the mind of Jim James.
"The album knew what it wanted to be," James reveals. "The songs would tell me what they wanted to be, and I just had to search around and find those sounds to bring them into this world."
