R.I.P. Kate McGarrigle

Saddened to learn this morning of the passing of Kate McGarrigle, folk music icon and mother of Martha and Rufus Wainwright. She was 63.

One of my favorite things the McGarrigle sisters ever did was "The Log Driver's Waltz," which was made into this awesome animated short:
